Business galore for the Italian sales company True Colours at this year's MIA. The company, headed by Catia Rossi, scored sales for Paolo Genovese's The Place after the promo screening and the pitch session "What's Next Italy". The film was sold to Russia and CIS (All Media), Czech Republic (Filmeurope), Hungary (Cinenuovo), Poland (Aurora), Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia (Stars Media), Estonia (Estin Film), Latvia (Kino Pavasaris), Bulgaria (6A Media Entertainment), Taiwan (Swallow Wings). Given the strong interest shown from other territories including Germany, France, Benelux, Latin America, China, and Israele, some additional sales should be closed after the film's marked premiere is scheduled at the AFM. The film is produced by Medusa Film, that will also released it theatrically in Italy on November 9.

After the pitch session of "What's Next Italy" at MIA, Gabriele Salvatores' The Invisible Boy - Second Generation secured its first deal. Produced by Indigo Film and currently in post-production, the film has been acquired by Polish distributor Vivarto / Bomba Film, in addition to the first instalment of the saga.
