Universal shares the first images from Loro, Paolo Sorrentino's film on Silvio Berlusconi starring Toni Servillo, which could have its world premiere at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.
A voice with a Northern-Italian accent asks: "Did you really expect that you could be the richest man of the Country, serve as Prime Minister, and be madly loved by everyone?" Another voice, identical to that of the former PM, answers: "Yes, I expected just this."
Loro is an Italo-French coproduction between Indigo Film, Pathé and France 2 Cinéma. In Italy, the film will be released by Universal Pictures International for Focus Features, while Pathé is in charge of international sales. The cast includes Riccardo Scamarcio, Chiara Iezzi, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Elena Sofia Ricci, Roberto Herlitzka, Ricky Memphis, Roberto De Francesco, Dario Cantarelli, and Alessia Fabiani.
