On November 13, as part of the Turin Film Festival, there'll be a screening of C'è un posto in Italia by Corso Salani. It is being shown in competition in the Doc 2005 section. It will be followed by a meeting with the director.
C'è un posto in Italia is the second
part of a project spearheaded by Gianluca Arcopinto and
Alessandro Contessa with images of Nichi Vendola. The first
part was the moving Nichi, winner of the Libero
Bizzarri prize and directed by Arcopinto himself.
Corso Salani's work is a road movie of impressions, people,
interior links bound up between two events: the kidnapping of
the journalist Giuliana Sgrena in Baghdad and the death of John
Paul II. The film will be distributed by Pablo in
December.
