Until February 11, "From Venice to Moscow", celebrating its 9th edition this year, will present 8 Italian features and 3 shorts from the 74th Venice International Film Festival. The event takes place in the Cinema Oktjabr and is organized by the Biennale of Venice in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Moscow. Directors Sebastiano Riso (A Family) and Silvio Soldini (Emma) will attend the event.

The event will show Venice competition titles Love and Bullets by Manetti Bros. and A Family by Sebastiano Riso, the out of competition film Emma by Silvio Soldini and the short Mister Rotpeter by Antonietta De Lillo; while from the Orizzonti selection it will screen Nico, 1988 by Susanna Nicchiarelli, The Stand-In by Ra Di Martino, animation Cindarella The Cat by Alessandro Rak, Ivan Cappiello, Marino Guarnieri, Dario Sansone, The Ark of Disperata by Edoardo Winspeare, and the shorts The Shadow of the Bride by Alessandra Pescetta and Futuro Prossimo by Alessandro Mereu. Already presented in the Venice Classics section, including some of the best restorations from last year, Michelangelo Antonioni's Red Desert (Golden Lion 1964) is too part of the program.

The cultural project of promotion and circulation of Italian cinema in the world was launched by the Venice Biennale in Brazil in 2005. Other events were then organized in 2006 in Russia, in 2009 in China, since 2012 in Korea, since 2014 in Croatia, Lebanon and Singapore, and since 2017 in the Philippines.

The 75th Venice International Film Festival will take place from August 29 to September 8, 2018.
