Rai Cinema congratulates Laura Bispuri on her award at the Shanghai International Film Festival. After the success at the latest Berlinale, Daughter of Mine wins the Media Choice Award for Best Film in the new competitive section of the Shanghai Film Fest, the Belt and Road Film Week. Produced by Vivo Film and Colorado Film with Rai Cinema, the film was released in Italy by 01 Distribution.

As the motivation reads, the film was appreciated “for his elegant language that is able to move the viewer through a narration which is delicate and intense at the same time.”

After its world premiere in Berlin, the film was suggested by ANICA to the selection committee of the Shanghai Film Fest as the most representative Italian film for the new “The Belt and Road Alliance” section. The director and Paolo Del Brocco, General Manager of Rai Cinema, attended the festival. During the event, ANICA promoted a partnership with other 29 countries, whose aim is to create a platform for shared projects and exchanges in the cinematic field, in order to support the development of cultural and business relationships between the members. The participation of ANICA in “The Belt and Road” is part of the China Project promoted by the Cinema Directorate General with the support of Ice-Agenzia, and fits in the context of the Focus Italia, organized at the Shanghai Film Fest by ANICA and China Film Coproduction Corporation.

The festival hosted an important coproduction Forum between Italy and China organized by ANICA and attended by Roberto Stabile for ANICA, Paolo Del Brocco for Rai Cinema, and Marco Belardi as an independent producer after the great success of Perfect Strangers in China. The aim is to encourage and promote new collaboration between the two countries, both in term of project exchanges and development of the respective film industries.
