The ItaliaFilmFest section of the Bif&st – Bari International Film Festival (September 25th – October 2nd) includes 7 Italian world premieres, which will be voted by a public jury chaired by journalist Antonella Matranga, and composed by 24 audience members who will present the Ettore Scola Award for Best Director, the Mariangela Melato Award for Best Actress, and the Gabriele Ferzetti Award for Best Actor. Besides the two out-of-competition world premieres opening and closing the festival respectively (Sergio Castellitto’s A Bookshop in Paris and Simone Godano’s Marylin ha gli occhi neri), the seven films in competition are: Querido Fidel by Viviana Calò, starring Gianfelice Imparato, Alessandra Borgia and Marco Mario de Notaris Emidio; Sulla Giostra by Giorgia Cecere, starring Claudia Gerini, Lucia Sardo, Alessio Vassallo, Paolo Sassanelli; L'uomo dal fiore in Bocca by Gabriele Lavia, starring Gabriele Lavia and Michele Demaria; Tra le onde by Marco Amenta, starring Vincenzo Amato and Sveva Alviti;  Bentornato, Papà by Domenico Fortunato, starring Domenico Fortunato, Donatella Finocchiaro, Dino Abbrescia, Giorgio Colangeli; The Italian Banker by Alessandro Rossetto, starring Fabio Sartor, Sandra Toffolatti, Diego Ribon, Mirko Artuso; La vera storia di Luisa Bonfanti by Franco Angeli, starring Livia Bonifazi, Stefano Pesce, Barbara Mautino, Valerio Aprea.
