At the Venice Film Festival, La macchina delle immagini di Alfredo C. directed by Roland Sejko, and Django & Django by Steve Della Casa and Luca Rea, both produced and to be released by Istituto Luce – Cinecittà.

Around 20 Italian films have been selected for the 78th Venice Film Festival to be held from September 1st to 11th. Artistic Director Roberto Barbera stated: “We were positively surprised by the average quality. I am optimistic on the state of cinema."

The 36th Venice International Film Critics’ Week unveiled its 2021 line-up. The program was designed by General Delegate Beatrice Fiorentino and the selection team composed by Enrico Azzano, Paola Casella, Simone Emiliani, Roberto Manassero.

Chloé Zhao, Saverio Costanzo and Virginie Efira, among others, will join Bong Joon-ho, while Jasmila Žbanic will chair the Orizzonti jury and Uberto Pasolini will preside over the Debut Film jury

The nineth edition of the initiative supporting the post-production of films hailing from African countries, as well as from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria, is unspooling 5 – 7 September

The honour to the director, actor, and screenwriter will be awarded during the 78th Venice International Film Festival (1-11 September 2021).

Starting Monday January 18th, registration is open for the films to be selected for the 78th Venice International Film Festival (1 – 11 September 2021) directed by Alberto Barbera and organized by La Biennale di Venezia.

Director Bong Joon Ho will be the president of the International Jury of the Competition at the 78th Venice International Film Festival (September 1 - 11, 2021)
